Dear October, you are my favorite time of the year.  It is time to enjoy the crisp coolness of the air and to soak in the kaleidoscope of shimmering colors. Falling leaves can awaken the senses as they litter our walkways.

The warmth of the sun glistens as gold through the branches of the most beautiful tree.  It is here where I long to try and capture another perspective, enjoying the world appearing as something new.

A perfect bed of softness awaits to bring comfort on the hard ground. The smell of autumn soothes my restless soul.  I lie down with my face to the sky in search of capturing the falling leaves.  It requires so much patience; it is not an easy task when relying on a shutter's speed.

Nature is in the process of saying goodbye and letting go, another year has come and gone.  Life keeps marching on.  I beg her to please let this linger.

Isn't it amazing how a view from another level can reveal the unseen?  Our neighborhood is dressed up in a glory which will soon give way to winter's hibernation.

Slowly, slowly the trees let go.  Whirling and twirling the tenderly spinning leaves spiral downward below.

A breeze begins to whisper as a gentle rain of leaf showers begin to fall.  Calling, calling, calling for all to notice the sprawling tapestry being woven upon the earth.

For a moment, the wind blows a little wilder.   Falling, falling, fallen, they rain down with such furry but barely a sound.

It doesn't take long before the branches undress.  They cling loosely to their vibrant colorful clothes which still adorn, just barely hanging on.

The days grow shorter as time winds down.  It isn't fair that autumn's stay is so momentary, but most treasures can be fleeting making them all the more valuable.
